This document describes the installation procedure of ROBUSKEY. If you are very new to ROBUSKEY, or if you have any difficulties on using it, please refer to this document.

ROBUSKEY^® for Video is a plugin software which uses a chroma key algorithm^(†1) developed proprietarily by ISP that is specifically matched to people's hair characteristics and skin tone.

Creates matte images that are perfect for natural‐looking image synthesis without the time or trouble, and expands your creative imagination.

(†1) With green backgrounds, high-precision chroma keying is affected by specific yellow color regions. Please refer to Operation Guide for detail.

ROBUSKEY is a chromakey plugin which runs on softwares shown below.

To install ROBUSKEY, please follow the steps below.

Here describes how to install ROBUSKEY plugin. The following procedure must be done with administrative privileges.

• Exit Host Application

If After Effects, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro were running, exit them.

• Run License Manager

Run ROBUSKEY License Manager. Check your authentication status at "Installation / activation status" textarea.

• Run Installer

Select host application you are going to install ROBUSKEY by clicking radio button, and click "Install" button.

† If you would like to use ROBUSKEY on Motion 5, please select "Final Cut Pro X". ROBUSKEY will be installed both of Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5.

When installation procedure finishes successfully, a message shown below appears.




† When you install on Macintosh, username and password will be required. Please enter them which has administrative privileges.



Press "Browse..." button to specify where to be installed.

for Macintosh

To specify where to install After Effects plugin, specify After Effects executable file which to be installed.




To specify where to install Premiere Pro plugin or Final Cut Pro plugin, specify destination folder. The destination folder is required to be recognized by its host application. Please refer to "Check Plugin Folder" for default destination folder.




for Windows

To specify where to install After Effects plugin, Premiere Pro plugin or Final Cut Pro plugin, specify executable file which to be installed.



• Check Installation Status

Run host application and check if ROBUSKEY plugin is listed.

for After Effects

When ROBUSKEY is installed on After Effects CS4 or later on Windows, ROBUSKEY will be listed on "Effects & Presets" window shown below.




When ROBUSKEY is installed on After Effects CS3 or later on Macintosh, ROBUSKEY will be listed on "Effects & Presets" window shown below.




for Premiere Pro

When ROBUSKEY is installed on Premiere Pro, ROBUSKEY will be listed on "Video Effects" tree item of "Effects" window shown below.

†Clip Alpha is not be installed on Premiere Pro.




for Final Cut Pro 7

When ROBUSKEY is installed on Final Cut Pro 7, ROBUSKEY will be listed on "Video Filters" tree item of "Effects" window shown below.

†Clip Alpha is not be installed on Final Cut Pro.




for Final Cut Pro X

ROBUSKEY will appear as shown below, when it is installed on Final Cut Pro X.

†"Clip Alpha" will not be installed on Final Cut Pro X/Motion 5.




ROBUSKEY will appear as shown below, "Library" > "Filter", when it is installed on Motion 5.

Check Plugin File

If ROBUSKEY plugin is not shown on the host application, please check if ROBUSKEY plugin files are properly copied.

By default, paths of plugin folder are shown below. For After Effects (other than CS5 or later) users or users specified another folder on installation, please substitute it.

Notice for Premiere Pro CS5 or later on Windows Users

While you are intalling ROBUSKEY for Premiere Pro for Windows, a message shown below may be displayed.

In this case, installation procedure is needed to be done manually, for its destination folder is not found.

ROBUSKEY plugin files are located in "plugin" folder of a folder contains License Manager (RobuskeyForMovieLicenseManager.exe).

• Exit Host Application

If After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro are running, exit them.

• Run Activation

Make sure that your computer is online.
Run "ROBUSKEY License Manager". Type product serial number and click "Activation" button.

When you failed on activation, please check product serial number and retry.

• Exit Host Application

If After Effects, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro were running, exit them.

• Run Deactivation

Run "ROBUSKEY License Manager". Press "Deactivate" button.

• Exit Host Application

If After Effects, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro were running, exit them.

• Delete Plugin Files

Run "ROBUSKEY License Manager". Press "Uninstall" button.

† When you uninstall on Macintosh, username and password will be required. Please enter them which has administrative privileges.

• Check Uninstallation

Run host application and check if ROBUSKEY plugin is not listed.

• Q: On installation procedure, I got a message "Failed on copying plugin files."
• A: Please check if ...:
  • you have specified host application properly.
  • your host application is not running.
  • you have administrative privileges.
    
• Q: On installation procedure, I got a message "The destination is invalid."
• A: This message is shown when the destination folder is not found. Please refer to "Notice for Premiere Pro CS5 on Windows Users" and retry installation manually.
• Q: I installed ROBUSKEY, but it's not listed on host application.
• A: The installation may not successfully finished. Please retry "How to Install Plugin". Refer to "Check Plugin File" and confirm that plugin files are copied properly.
  If you would like to use ROBUSKEY on different version of After Effects, you need to install ROBUSKEY on each version of After Effects.
• Q: ROBUSKEY does not work on host application. I got a message "ROBUSKEY license is invalid."
• A: If you would like to use ROBUSKEY for more than 30 days from installation, you are required to activate ROBUSKEY. Please refer to "How to Activate ROBUSKEY" and follow the activation procedure.
• Q: When I start ROBUSKEY License Manager, an error message "Failed to get Client ID" appears.
• A: In this case, activation may not be done successfully. If you have failed on activation, please contact ROBUSKEY Support Desk.
