I-SoUMeN

What is I-SoUMeN ( ISP Solutions/Utilities for Mesh Network ) ?

"I-SoUMeN" is a 'Multi-Agent Wireless Mesh Network Solution' capable of facilitating communication between a few and several dozen agents (mobile small robots).
You can automatically configure complex mesh network settings and verify the operation of multiple agents in a simulator environment, which simplifies the otherwise challenging preparation.
The inclusion of tools to facilitate the setup of mesh network environments also makes the implementation easy.

Advantages

We solve common issues in environments where the communication infrastructure is either insufficient or difficult to establish.

The video is cutting out.

Transfer video and telemetry information seamlessly.

Command transmission is unstable.

Commands reliably reach their destination.

If the only communication device fails, operations become impossible.

Automatically change the communication route to bypass the point of failure.

Usage

This is designed for use in environments where the communication infrastructure is either inadequate or difficult to establish direct communication, such as tunnels, caves, underwater locations, and outer space, including the surfaces of moons and planets.
It is particularly suitable for swarm robotics, where multiple robots are controlled autonomously in a decentralized manner.

Features

I-SoUMeN Simulator

Building a mesh network and performing real-world testing requires a significant amount of effort, including acquiring a large number of compatible devices and preparing and deploying extensive fields to operate them.
In the I-SoUMeN Simulator, you can easily prepare a virtual setup of arbitrary numbers of equipment within the simulation space, allowing for easy testing of software and communication functionality in the virtual environment.

I-SoUMeN Deployment tool

One of the reasons why deploying a mesh network can be challenging is due to difficulties in network driver installation. Even if the installation is successful, issues may arise with the proper functioning of network devices, adding complexity to the network setup process required for deployment.
To address these challenges, the I-SoUMeN deployment tool includes scripts to automate complex configurations, enabling the installation and configuration of network drivers with just one command.

I-SoUMeN Operations tool

Correct installation and configuration of network drivers do not guarantee problem-free operation unless they function accurately and consistently.
During operational issues with a mesh network, it can be challenging to oversee what is happening across multiple devices, and the complexity of the network configuration can make it difficult to identify the root cause of the problem.
The I-SoUMeN operations tool allows for continuous monitoring and visualization of each communication node to ensure they are functioning correctly and communicating as intended.
If a node is not operating correctly, the operations tool aids in identifying the cause of the issue within the network segment, facilitating a prompt resolution.

Mesh network communication environment

It is a communication environment built using the I-SoUMeN construction tool and operated using the I-SoUMeN operations tool. It is characterized by "resilience (robustness)", "flexibility", and "scalability".
